The Allen Bradley Panelview 550 is a very common controller that is used throughout the world. While it has enjoyed great success as a reliable workhorse, it has one fatal flaw. The backlight bulb produces so much heat that it melts the ends of the fiber optic which makes the screen very dim and eventually causes the LCD display to fail. This is not an isolated or rare case. We get hundreds of calls asking us to repair a damaged Panelview 550 backlight displays.
This self-lit LCD panel is an all-in-one solution. There is no need for bulb or fiber optic. The LCD replaces EDT part# EW50111BMW and Epson EG4401B-QR-3.

No need for the OEM 2711-NL1 light bulb nor the fiber optic that ships with the standard operator controls. The awesome part about this Panelview 550 LCD unit is that it has the power cord and video flex ribbon already installed, making life (installation) a lot easier.
