LCD upgrade kit for your IKEGAMI PM-509 – M20A03-CT509

Power Down and Disassemble:

• Turn off the power and unplug the cord.
• Remove the cover, button plate, and bezel by unscrewing them.
• Remove CRT Components:
  • Unfasten the 4 mounting nuts securing the CRT to the chassis. Save these for the LCD installation.
  • Safely discharge the CRT by grounding the anode lead using a flathead screwdriver.
  • Disconnect the neck board, yoke, degassing cable, and any connectors or boards from the CRT.
  • Unscrew and remove the CRT and its circuitry from the chassis.

Mount the LCD Panel:

• Position the LCD upgrade on the chassis using the same holes and nuts from the CRT removal.
• Secure the user controls to the chassis.
• Replace and Connect Boards:
  • Remove the old board and replace the IN BNC connector with Monitech’s BNC (MAV051).
  • Crimp the MAP204 power wires and fasten them to the chassis.
• Connect New Components:
  • Plug the MAP304 into MAP307.
  • Insert MAP307’s jack into the monitor and connect the user controls.
  • Connect the BNC cable to the new board.

Test the Installation:

• Connect the power cord and a BNC cable to a DVD player for testing.
• Turn on the power and verify the display’s functionality.
• If needed, test with MAV050 and MAV003 for additional diagnostics.
• Adjust Display Settings:
  • Adjust screen size, brightness, and other parameters using the user controls.
• Reassemble
  • Attach the bezel and fasten it with screws.
  • Secure MAP307 with double-sided tape and organize wires using zip ties.
  • Reinstall the back and top covers.
  • Completion
